Selling Tips
1. Classify the item/material that you intend to sell using our step by step classification system. Good classification aids buyers when trying to locate specific materials and thus improves the saleability of an item.
2. Choose the listing type; ‘Full’ or ‘Quick’. By choosing to post a ‘Quick’ listing a free ad will be generated. By choosing the ‘Full’ listing option the user can specify ad features that will elevate the profile of the sale item within the site.
3. Follow the clear listing instructions laid out in the Settings page.
4. Specify shipping details.
5. Specify payment method between buyer and seller.
6. View the Preview of your item posting.
7. List the item or save the posting as a draft.
Buying
1. Browse for items using either our specialist key word search facility or by category.
2. Click on any item that is of interest.
3. Ask the seller questions though our messaging facility if crucial information is not included in the posting,
4. Either 'Make an Offer' or ‘Buy Out!’ the item, meeting the sellers desired price and so instantly closing the sale.
Note on Dutch Auctions
When a user is selling large quantities of items or materials (for example; recycled aggregates) the total quantity to be sold can be divided up into smaller, more manageable quantities.
For Example:
The seller is in possession of 10,000 Tonnes of 6F2 stone. Buyers may not want to buy all of this stone, therefore the seller has the option of dividing the total quantity up, for example, into 500 x 20 Tonne loads and posting this item as a Dutch Auction.
PLEASE NOTE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO SPECIFY QUANTITES AND UNITS WITHIN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEM ON THE ITEM DETAILS PAGE WHEN POSTING A DUTCH AUCTION.
